The BDA Workplace Dyslexia-Friendly Pledge is a practical, one-year commitment that helps organisations take clear, achievable steps toward becoming more inclusive for employees with dyslexia and other neurodivergent needs.
The pledge is based on our trusted Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark framework and is designed to support companies of all sizes in improving awareness, accessibility, and communication across the workplace.
When your organisation signs the pledge, you commit to:
Raising awareness and understanding of dyslexia in the workplace
Reviewing and improving communication and support systems
Making reasonable adjustments to policies, training, and materials
Providing managers and HR teams with resources to support neurodivergent staff
Creating an environment where all employees can thrive
You don’t need to be perfect to start — the pledge is about progress, not perfection. You’ll receive a toolkit to help guide your journey step by step.
The pledge lasts for 12 months, with:
